ICRSE – International Committee on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe started a lobbying action urging Amnesty International to not back down and consequently to approve its draft policy on the decriminalization of sex work. This draft policy will be presented for consideration at the International Council meeting, which takes place from the 7th to 11th of August in Dublin.

Within this context, ICRSE wrote an open letter to Amnesty International, which was subsequently signed by 240 organisations and 881 individuals.

APDES played a role in this initiative, having signed the letter and provided a Portuguese version to facilitate its dissemination.

APDES considers it is important that Amnesty International do not back down and approve their own project in its International Council.
