CLAT5

Since 2005, APDES is part of the CLAT network – Latin Conferences about Harm Reduction – which is composed of representatives from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland. The goal of this network is to debate themes related to harm reduction methodologies and damage minimisation, according to an ethical, scientific, technical and political perspective.

APDES was responsible for the organisation of the network’s 5^th Conference (1^st to 4^th July, 2009), a widely acknowledged initiative, due to the innovative character of the theme in the national context and the contribution to the theoretical and professional enrichment of the Portuguese harm reduction organisations, thus having a multiplying impact in the target communities/groups.
