- Desde: 2018

The overall aim of this project is to enhance the skills, ability, and capacity of frontline drug and alcohol services to support people who have experienced severe drug and alcohol problems – increasing their employability prospects and enhancing their recovery from addiction. The project will support skills acquisition and innovative programme development, resulting in an increasing number of people within this target group who can secure meaningful and sustainable employment. This project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Duration:
2 years (Sep. 2018 – Aug. 2020)
Goals:
1. To deliver positive and long lasting effects on policy and participating organisations through building more employability and employment opportunities for people with a history of drug and alcohol problems. Working transnationally and prioritising the development of basic and transversal skills for our target group, European Action for Employment in Recovery (EAER) will make a measurable and lasting impact on policy and practice in this area. This will ensure that economic activity rates are increased, and that income inequalities are reduced.
2. To deliver positive and long lasting effects on people participating in programmes, through increased knowledge, awareness, skills, and motivation to improve services. This project brings together partners who can mutually benefit from this project to improve their practice and the practice in their states, providing a model for best practice with this particular target group, across Europe.
The concept is to work together to increase capacity to deliver employability work with people who have a history of drug and alcohol problems in each of the partner countries – enhancing the provision of employability interventions within front-line drug and alcohol services.
