Peer2Peer aims to reinforce the capacity of outreach CSOs to reduce drug demand, by recovering and upscaling the European heritage on cooperation between peers and professionals, outreach workers, small-scale drug dealers and law enforcement. In order to accomplish these goals, 6 European countries (Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Greece, Lithuania) will conduct a qualitative research regarding formal and informal cooperation between key-actors in outreach interventions addressing PUPS (WP2).

These activities will provide further guidance on recommendations of best practices and transferable methods for the implementation of training programs for the integration of Peer Educators (PE) in outreach teams and the implementation of locally adapted pilot interventions in Poland, Greece, Lithuania (WP3). An Advocacy Strategy will be developed in order to strengthen cooperation practices between-key actors in outreach work and to integrate peers in outreach teams in the National and European political agendas and to stimulate the implementation of evidence-based strategies at the National and European levels.

The general objective is to reinforce the capacity of outreach CSO to reduce drug demand, by recovering and upscaling the European heritage on cooperation between peers and professionals, OW, small-scale drug dealers and law enforcement officials. This project comprises internationally recognised research, social intervention and advocacy institutions from Europe, gathered to increase the project’s impact.
