  • Contact: info@apdes.pt

The Sikola project aims to improve the quality of Education in Angola – namely, primary education – through the dialogue, empowerment and participation of all actors, especially the teachers, civil society and the local authorities. The project is promoted by APDES in partnership with the Education for All Network (EFA) in Angola, represented by the National Teachers’ Syndicate (SINPROF). The interventions are carried out in Cabinda and Luanda.

The project comprehends 3 stages: 1) teachers’/educational staff empowerment, training and capacity building; 2) reinforce the cooperation between the EFA  network and other institutions in the educational field; 3) promotion of dialogue between civil society and local authorities to improve the quality of the primary education in Angola.

This project was supported by RECI, part of FCT’s network of E&D research units.

The project is co-funded by the European Union: The EU in Angola: Investing in People, Prosperity and Peace”.
